Over January-July this year, China's pig iron output dropped by 4.5% on year to 510.9 million tonnes, with the seven-month decline being slightly slower than the 4.7% on-year fall recorded for the first six months, according to data released by the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on August 15.
