Over January-May this year, the decline in Chinese pig iron output narrowed on-year to 5.9% and took the total to 360.87 million tonnes, compared with the on-year drop of 9.4% recorded over the first four months, according to data released by the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on June 15.
