For the first quarter of this year, China's gross domestic product (GDP) grew 4.8% on year to a total of Yuan 27.02 trillion ($4.24 trillion), or up 1.3% from the last quarter of 2021, according to the latest release by the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on April 18.
